Born in Kaleici, Antalya in 1939.
Married at the age of 21, and is a mother of three children. Her son got married at the age of 17, and his child was born soon after the marriage. Her grandson will finish the military service soon. She got divorced after 16 years of her marriage, and went back to her parents’ for a while. She then got married again with a man who is much older than she after the death of her mother. Since her second divorce two years ago, she has lived alone in a small concrete house built after pulling down her parents’ wooden house in
Kaleici. She makes good friends with her neighbours and always spends her summer in front of her house, placing a table and some chairs. Works as a singer of Turkish songs at a neighbouring hotel. She loves knitting and researching the meaning of natural stones. She also has a good knowledge of folk remedies that use plants.
