My father-in-law used to deliver bread to his neighbouring customers every morning when he was running a small shop. On a very rainy morning in winter, everyone from our family was worried about him, and stopped him from going out saying that he did not have to deliver on such a rainy day. Then he said, eeven on a sunny day no one will order from a shop that does not deliver on a rainy dayf.

Born in Gaziantep in 1951.
After graduating from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department at the Istanbul Technical University, moved to work in Iskenderun as a metal engineer. Met with his present wife who was working as a school teacher there, and married. He supported Kont (his father-in-law) when he opened Kont Pension, the first pension in Kaleici. After his retirement in 1995, he moved to Antalya and became the owner of the Kont Pension.
